Mr. Madison’s “Factors to Consider Before Using Force to Effect an Arrest,” “Time to Change our Pursuit Policies,” and “Understanding Officer-Created Jeopardy” have all been published in Police Magazine®. Mr. Madison’s articles on mitigation of auto-pedestrian collisions in parking lots and parking garages have been published in national trade magazines.

Mr. Madison’s background, training, and experience includes serving as an Assistant District Attorney, State Magistrate, Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, and Chief of Police. Prior law enforcement certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) as a Basic Peace Officer, Intermediate Peace Officer, and Advanced Peace Officer. Currently certified as a “Police Instructor” by TCOLE. Mr. Madison has 10 years of combined experience as a Security Supervisor and Security Advisor; over 20 years as a Firefighter, including 10 years as an Engine Driver, and over 20 years as an EMS First Responder. He has trained and served as a Municipal Safety Officer, Emergency Management Director, and Fire Safety Officer. He has testified as a qualified expert in: Security, Law Enforcement, Use of Force, Foreseeability of Domestic Violence, Fire Safety protocols, and EMS safety protocols.
